Ruby & Laurel Animal Rescue: Helping Animals in Western North Carolina
Mags and Brooke Owens of Owens Upholstery geared up for their first donation trip, where they will be supporting animals in need by recent events in Western North Carolina. Their mission is to bring much-needed supplies for domestic farm animals, dogs, and cats. The designated drop-off point for these donations is at the Stockyards in Canton, NC, but today is the final push to fill the truck before they set out—and they need your help! The items needed may change as they continue to take more trips.
For Pets and Farm Animals:
- Dog Food

- Bird/Parrot Food
- Cat Litter
- Drinking Water
- Collars/Leashes
- Ferret/Rabbit Food
- Crates/Kennels
- Pee Pads
- Blankets (New or Well Washed)
- Chicken Feed/Scratch Grain
- Sweet Feed
- Alfalfa pellets
- Pig feed
- Goat feed
- thrush medication/wonder dust/alumishield, dewormers, Benadryl (think basic farm first aid)
- Cleaning Supplies and paper products
